Associate Editor, News and Email - Money Publishing Group
Money Publishing Group is hiring an Associate Editor, News, and Email to work daily with a team of reporters to publish news and trending content about the biggest issues affecting Americans’ wallets today. This person will be responsible for editing weekly newsletters about housing, retirement, and general personal finance and writing news articles and email copy as needed. Must have a strong knowledge of the online media landscape, a knack for finding creative angles that readers will love, and a sharp editorial eye.
Responsibilities:
- Pitch, assign, edit, and publish stories on Money.com with a quick turnaround.
- Edit and publish Money newsletters Retire With Money, Money Moves, Dollar Scholar, and Daily Money.
- Report and write stories for the web and newsletters multiple times a week.
- Knowledge of WordPress, GA4, and analytics platforms is a plus.
- Among other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in editing at a media or related organization.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Knowledge of content management systems, digital publishing platforms, and multimedia production, such as Asana and WordPress, among others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Experience leading people. You love growing people with an eye on career development and how that works with business goals.
- Newsletter knowledge.
- Experience publishing for a broad audience interested in personal finance.
What we offer:
This is a full-time, remote position. The employee is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k), and paid leave.
This job's annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $75,000.
The offered salary may vary within the posted range based on factors including, but not limited to, education, skills, experience, training, job responsibilities, and location. This role is eligible for a quarterly discretionary bonus based on the company's variable compensation program; this is included in the advertised range.
